Having their... read more in house maintenance is a huge plus, because planes are not normally out of service for a long time. I have the privilege to be instructed by Haylee. It doesn’t take much time around her to notice how truly professional and passionate about everything aviation she is. Her passion along with her commitment to her students gives you the tools you need to to learn how to fly. I met her while I was trying to convert my license from another country to FAA, she took the time to research the best and most efficient way to go about that for me. Her thorough and up-to-date mastery of tools used in today’s aviation are second to none. I had my ppl license at a very small remote airport (mostly class G airspace) where most of my radio experience is announcing my position and intentions to other pilots that I already know personally. Haylee worked extensively with me on my radio skills and gaining the mic confidence to be flying in the very busy Vegas air space. It is still a work in progress, but I wouldn’t have done it without her guidance. I also really like how she asks “and what do you think the answer is?” Every time I ask a question before giving me her own answer. That question allows her to gauge her students’ knowledge and also to instil the “think before you ask or act” skill that all pilots need. There is no doubt that I am a better pilot today because of the skills that Haylee taught me and I now have a solid base to expand upon. Another benefit is that I now have a fellow pilot and trusted friend to make this journey down the road of aviation a lot more enjoyable. I've used a variety of flight schools in the Las Vegas Area, and Vegas Aviation has definitely been the best one. My main concerns at the beginning of my flight... read more training were the quality and availability of the planes and instructors, but none of that has been a problem for me during my time here. Another major concern of mine was pricing. I will say that rental prices are slightly higher than other flight schools in the area, but through getting my Private Pilot License I learned that you get what you pay for. If I could start my training all over again I would picked Vegas Aviation sooner to save more time and money in the long run.

From the 1st phone call, to dropping in for a tour, to getting in the air. Was seamless, educational and exciting. Can’t wait to start flight school here!

My son took his first discovery flight today. His instructor was Dorian, who was absolutely amazing. We were originally scheduled for a discovery flight two weeks ago and were second... read more in line for takeoff when an incoming plane declared an emergency, And landed on its belly. That shut down the airport for 12 hours, but wow, what a first experience that we got to see firsthand as we were second in line for takeoff when it happened. Dorian went through all of the emergency procedures and exactly what was happening with the tower With the airplane. That experience alone probably weighed more than his first flight today. Today's flight was about 45 minutes and it was absolutely beautiful. My son had the controls for half the time, including for takeoff and landing. Dorian was cool as a cucumber and made my son feel very safe and gave absolutely incredible instruction! If you're looking for a flight school, I would not look anywhere else!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. I had spent thousands of dollars on training to ultimately leave empty handed. I had no issues initially, but as months went... read more by, several problems became evident. Unfortunately, scheduling became hard —— my instructor would ask me to continuously alter my own personal schedule to change a class already booked or change it without my confirmation, this is excluding any rescheduling due to weather. The changes in the schedule would be due to their poor planning or personal reasons of leave, these changes would be made the day of or day before when I would book my lessons in weeks of advance. It seemed that I was booking unnecessary lengthy lessons only to benefit the instructor for their personal flight hours. I was made to redo lessons that would cost me $500+ each time rather than taking a ground lesson to go over what I was missing, but as instructors do not log grounds they shy away from scheduling them with their students. The office staff was amazing and very helpful, complete opposite of the instructors. I was repeatedly encouraged to cram the material to pass the check ride rather than being proficient as a student. Finally, as my training was coming to an end, I was told I do not have the mental capacity, although, I had done numerous solo flights. The cheaper rates of this flight school became apparent with the quality of education.

I moved to Vegas for three months to continue pursuing my PPL at VA, and I got to say, it's definitely a great place to learn. He was a great pilot and very knowledgeable about the school and aviation in general. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and helped me plot out my next couple steps as a student pilot. It was a relatively windy day today and I never felt that he was not in control of situation. The facility was clean. The aircraft was in good condition , ran well and had digital instruments. I went to Vegas Aviation looking to finish my Multi-Engine add on and become recurrent in instrument flight after about 5 years away from general aviation. I was paired with... read more CFII/MEI Richard and was very impressed from day one. Richard is incredibly proficient and thorough and spent his due diligence getting me recurrent for IFR flight in a timely manner. I then completed their accelerated multi-engine course and passed my check ride on the first attempt. Richard prepped me for every possible contingency for the check ride and I had no surprises on the day of the check. Overall Vegas Aviation is a professional, clean, and modern flight school and maintenance shop that values safety, family, and having fun while learning to fly. Their whole team is very welcoming and credible. I highly recommend.
