Adrian in particular has been spectacular as a CFI. As someone coming in with very little experience, his method of instruction following a “show me, guide me, let me” approach has been phenomenal in building the skills necessary to one day have a career in the industry.

I appreciate that the school has a good amount of planes which makes it easier on scheduling flexibility. As a person who travels for work and takes lessons whenever I can fit it in my busy week, they always work with my schedule which is great. I never really had any issues in booking a lesson at a desired time that worked for me. Additionally, the instructors here at Vegas Aviation are professional and want their students to succeed with safety as a priority. Richard is incredibly proficient and thorough and spent his due diligence getting me recurrent for IFR flight in a timely manner. I then completed their accelerated multi-engine course and passed my check ride on the first attempt. I started off my flight training at a different location. There was nothing wrong with it, but it just felt like more school. I found my way to Vegas Aviation,... read more and that’s when things changed. There isn’t a better group of people around than the ones you will find at VA. The instructors genuinely care about you succeeding and moving forward, not just the hours they are building. I’ve had the genuine pleasure of working with a few of the flight instructors and I look forward to working with more in the future. The staff managing VA (talking about you Jennie) are the most approachable and accommodating people you will meet. I literally called her at 4 AM once when I didn’t realize I was in a different time zone and she answered the call and helped me out. The maintenance team is world class. They manage to keep five planes in the air practically 24/7 in addition to the other work they have on their plates, but will still drop what they’re doing to answer any questions you have or explain a system in the plane. To make a long story longer, I can’t imagine a better place to learn to fly and I know that I’ll be making regular visits to VA long after I’ve earned my wings and am flying professionally. I’d also like to thank the instructors I’ve worked with: Andrew, Derek, and Jack for helping me along my road as a pilot and pushing me forward while also being good friends. It doesn’t take much time around her to notice how truly professional and passionate about everything aviation she is. Her passion along with her commitment to her students gives you the tools you need to to learn how to fly. I met her while I was trying to convert my license from another country to FAA, she took the time to research the best and most efficient way to go about that for me. Her thorough and up-to-date mastery of tools used in today’s aviation are second to none. I had my ppl license at a very small remote airport (mostly class G airspace) where most of my radio experience is announcing my position and intentions to other pilots that I already know personally. Haylee worked extensively with me on my radio skills and gaining the mic confidence to be flying in the very busy Vegas air space. It is still a work in progress, but I wouldn’t have done it without her guidance. I also really like how she asks “and what do you think the answer is?” Every time I ask a question before giving me her own answer. That question allows her to gauge her students’ knowledge and also to instil the “think before you ask or act” skill that all pilots need. There is no doubt that I am a better pilot today because of the skills that Haylee taught me and I now have a solid base to expand upon. Another benefit is that I now have a fellow pilot and trusted friend to make this journey down the road of aviation a lot more enjoyable.
