Great flight school if you are looking to rent a plane to fly around in the area or go to the Grand Canyon. I already came with a US PPL,... read more and as always had to do a flight beforehand in order to be able to rent the aircraft afterwards. Due to strong winds, my flight with the instructor had to be cancelled, but was rescheduled without any problems for the next day where the winds were better. After the flight with the professional instructor Flore, I went up to Page via the Grand Canyon to experience the once in lifetime view. I will definitely come back again to go flying in the area. Good day! Getting my pilots license has something that has been on my mind for years, I was inspired by movies, video games, and etc. I just turned 40 years old... read more and I wanted to try something exciting for my 40th birthday, the discovery flight with Vegas Aviation did not disappoint me. Before the flight I was nervous, anxious, scared, intimidated and I felt some other emotions that I will not explain here; but I was going to have this experience anyway. My flight instructor was Flore’ and she was amazing, it’s been a month since my flight and I can not stop thinking about her and how cool she was. Flore’ explained everything to me and answer all of my questions, I felt really comfortable with her and that was probably due to her confidence. I would encourage everyone to do a discovery flight with Vegas Aviation, it was the best bday gift I have ever given myself. This experience changed my life so much that I am now in pursuit of a career in aviation. They get my recommendation, two thumbs up, 5 stars, 10stars, and they get two snaps and around the world 😉.

All the planes are kept in beautiful condition from the on site mechanics, with modern avionics in all of them. They just got another brand new training Cessna and a multi as well. The rates are also no doubt the best I’ve ever seen when it comes to what you get vs. what you pay per hour. Currently working on my instrument rating with my amazing instructor, Haylee Rolnick, who is amazing at what she does. The atmosphere is great and all the instructors and students are very friendly and helpful. If you’ve been looking at starting your training, I would definitely check out this flight school.

Growing up in Wyoming, I couldn’t have ever imagined I could become even a student pilot. This opportunity was given to me when I moved to Vegas, and was allowed... read more to collaborate with this incredible flight school. At 17 I’ve soloed, and even flown across state lines. It’s not easy, but the instructors here are extremely well trained no matter who you go with, and the maintenance team is always on top of their work. If there’s a problem with a plane, more often than not, it’s fixed by the next day. It’s a rarity here to have a shortage of aircraft (more than I can say for some other flight schools in the area I have experience with). If you’re having a day dreaming moment about becoming a pilot, or looking to make it a career, they do all sorts of ratings and certifications besides private, so take an introductory flight and go for it! It’s most definitely worth it.

I've used a variety of flight schools in the Las Vegas Area, and Vegas Aviation has definitely been the best one. Another major concern of mine was pricing. I will say that rental prices are slightly higher than other flight schools in the area, but through getting my Private Pilot License I learned that you get what you pay for. If I could start my training all over again I would picked Vegas Aviation sooner to save more time and money in the long run.

Very disappointed in their policy and lack of support to keep children encouraged in their journey to become pilots. I worked at Nellis AFB and My children were turned away from this flight school because we are not residents of Nevada; again the intent was to sign up for Discovery Flights. A policy that doesn't allow children the oppurtunity to fly in new environments (regardless of primary residence) defeats the purpose of a discovery flight! Little does Kevin know, these cadets could be stationed right at Nellis AFB! Update: (since I cant reply to the owner) Your website: WHAT IS A DISCOVERY FLIGHT? A Discovery Flight is an aviation experience where YOU actually get to take the controls and fly the airplane under the safety and guidance of our expert Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), followed by a post-flight summary briefing. Your flight time actually counts toward private pilot requirements and can be entered in your Pilot Log Book! I reached out to schedule and the email response was unprofessional and presumptive "we do not provide sightseeing flights". The "policy" mentioned in the owners response is not what is written on your website. Feedback: include on your website that you only make time for discovery flight for people who will also sign a contract to attend your flight school. That would be a more accurate description of your policy. Or, your representatives can ASK the customer what their intent is instead of assuming.
